DTC B0001-12 Overview
- If a voltage on the detection line inside the SRS unit is higher than a specified value, the SRS unit determines an abnormality and stores the DTC.
DTC B0001-12 Inspection Outline
- The components to be tested are indicated by a dotted line.
NOTICE:
Before disconnecting the SRS related connector, do the 12 volt battery terminal disconnection procedure and wait for at least 3 minutes.
NOTE:
Since there is no direct method to test the component itself, troubleshooting is performed on the related components.

- External Circuit LA1+, LA1- Shorted Wire Inspection
- SRS Unit Inspection
1. Driver's Airbag Inspection
DTC B0001-12 Test Procedure
Driver's airbag circuit inspection
- Preparation
- Procedure
Perform the confirmation procedure.
- Normal Conditions
Results
- If it is normal, there is a problem with the driver's airbag.
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with other related components.
2. Cable Reel Inspection
■ Test Procedure
- Preparation
-Driver's airbag first inflator 2P connector: disconnected
-Cable reel connector B (4P): disconnected
- Procedure
-Perform the inspection according to the following table.
- Results
If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the cable reel.
3. External Circuit LA1+, LA1- Shorted Wire Inspection
- Test Procedure
Preparation
-SRS unit connector A (43P): disconnected
-Cable reel connector B (4P): disconnected
-Cable reel connector B (4P): disconnected
Procedure
-Perform the inspection according to the following table.
Results
If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
4. SRS Unit Inspection
- Test Procedure
If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining SRS unit is the cause.
■ Results
There is a problem with the SRS unit.
Confirmation Procedure
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, then wait for 10 seconds.
