DTC B0020-1A Overview
If a voltage on the detection line inside the SRS unit is lower than a specified value, the SRS unit determines an abnormality and stores the DTC.
Inspection Outline
The components to be tested are indicated by a dotted line.
Inspection Items
- Left Side Airbag Inspection
- External Circuit LFSA+, LFSA- Shorted Wire Inspection
- SRS Unit Inspection
Before disconnecting the SRS related connector, do the 12 volt battery terminal disconnection procedure and wait for at least 3 minutes.
NOTE:
Since there is no direct method to test the component itself, troubleshooting is performed on the related components.
1. Left Side Airbag Inspection
- Test Procedure
Left side airbag circuit inspection
- Preparation
－Left side airbag inflator 2P connector: disconnected
- Procedure
Perform the confirmation procedure.
- Normal Conditions
DTC B0020-1A is not indicated.
■ Results
If it is abnormal, there is a problem with other related components.
2. External Circuit LFSA+, LFSA- Shorted Wire Inspection
- Test Procedure
Preparation
- －SRS unit connector B (57P): disconnected
- －Left side airbag inflator 2P connector: disconnected
- －SRS unit connector B (57P) No. 3 and No. 4: connected to SRS short canceller
- Procedure
- －Perform the inspection according to the following table.
- Results
If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

Confirmation Procedure
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, then wait for 10 seconds.
