DTC B0001-13 Open or Increased Resistance in the Driver Airbag First Inflator

 

DTC B0001-13 Overview

If a voltage on the detection line inside the SRS unit is higher than a specified value, the SRS unit determines an abnormality and stores the DTC.

Inspection Outline

The components to be tested are indicated by a dotted line.

NOTICE:

Before disconnecting the SRS related connector, do the 12 volt battery terminal disconnection procedure and wait for at least 3 minutes.

NOTE:

Since there is no direct method to test the component itself, troubleshooting is performed on the related components.

1. Driver's Airbag Inspection

Test Procedure

Driver's airbag circuit inspection

Preparation

-Driver's airbag first inflator 2P connector: disconnected

Procedure

  1. Install a jumper wire between driver's airbag first inflator 2P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2.
  2. Perform the confirmation procedure.

Normal Conditions

-DTC B0001-13 is not indicated.

■ Results

If it is normal, there is a problem with the driver's airbag.
If it is abnormal, there is a problem with other related components.

2. Cable Reel Inspection

■ Test Procedure

Preparation

-Driver's airbag first inflator 2P connector: disconnected

-Cable reel connector B (4P): disconnected

Procedure

-Perform the inspection according to the following table.


■ Results

If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the cable reel.

3. RA1+, RA1- Open Wire Inspection

■ Test Procedure

Preparation

-SRS unit connector A (43P): disconnected
-Cable reel connector B (4P): disconnected

Procedure

-Perform the inspection according to the following table.

■ Results

If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

3. SRS Unit Inspection

■ Test Procedure

If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining SRS unit is the cause.

■ Results

There is a problem with the SRS unit.

Confirmation Procedure

Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, then wait for 10 seconds.
