Water Pump Replacement Overview
The water pump used by Honda is an impeller type and is driven by the timing belt. The pump’s casing consists of the cylinder block and the pump cover. The shape of the water pump differs from one engine to another, but the water pump inspection and replacement procedures are basically the same. Therefore if you can perform those procedures on one engine, you can do them for all Honda engines.
